CHAD MORRIS HEADS TO COURT TO FACE ‘JUSTICE’ FOR GETTING BEAT UP
City keeps punishing him for his gay bar getting in the way of a runaway police SUV (part 2)
Chad Morris has a court date Friday. But it sure isn’t the one he should be participating in.
Morris, co-owner of Bar PM, will have his first status hearing Friday in Circuit Court on misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and assaulting police. In a glass-half-empty moment for the ages, Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore dropped felony charges but is pursing the lesser charges for no apparent good reason.
Morris is alleged to have committed his criminal acts in the wake of a runaway police SUV swerving out of control on an empty street and crashing into his bar in the wee hours of a December morning. A harsh confrontation followed – imagine that – and the bar owner is alleged by police have become the perpetrator. And, of course, the police became the victims.
In related news, police report that gangs of feral house cats have escaped from their owners and are reigning terror upon the city’s population of stray dogs.
