Sen.. Tom Cotton completes a double back flip on the January 6 riot

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark) toed the party line on Fox News Sunday, attempting to contrast prosecutions for the Capitol riot with the Secret Service not determining who brought .007 ounces of cocaine to the White House.

But in invoking that cockeyed comparison, Cotton took a far greater leap than most. He had stood out in the aftermath of the riot as one of the most vocal Republican critics of Trump, the rioters and even fellow senators for their role in bringing it about.
